Who We Are
Comprising a small corner of Indianapolis’ urban core, Monon Yard is a burgeoning neighborhood combining the best of what is new and historic in the city of Indianapolis. We work hard to know our neighbors, build a sense of community and enjoy life in one of the cities fastest growing neighborhoods and we invite you to be a part!

"My husband, Andrew, and I moved to the Monon Yard neighborhood in July 2020. One of the things I have come to love about Monon Yard is the sense of community we immediately felt from our neighbors. As the Monon Yard Board Vice President, I am excited to serve our growing community and move forward with the energy brought by neighbors both new and old."
My family moved here in 2019 and I've really enjoyed watching the neighborhood develop. I enjoy finding new ways to connect with neighbors!
"I am a 3rd year resident of the neighborhood. In that time Monon Yard has exploded with civic and social capital, something few neighborhoods can say. It seems every month I become a part of a stronger and more connected web of neighbors. I am proud we have achieved so much in such little time and I'm thrilled to see our future plans come to fruition."
Barbara is a long time resident and is currently serving as treasurer.
“I’ve been in the neighborhood almost three years. My wife and I and our dogs, enjoy spending time with a lot of our wonderful neighbors. We think it’s great being close to the Monon. While the bulge is still an open field, it is a great place for us to let the dogs do some running.”
"I've been in the Monon Yard neighborhood since 2016. A couple things I love about it here are how diverse it is and being close to the Monon trail. It's been fascinating to watch the neighborhood grow and change since moving here 5 year ago, and I'm excited to see that revitalization continue and to hep increase community involvement"
George has been in the neighborhood for 65 years since he was a child. He moved back to the neighborhood into his family home 24 years ago. His favorite things about the neighborhood are the Monon trail, fall creek, the quietness, and great neighbors.
